Outsource Reference & Kickoff Posts

These are some samples of the type of kickoff/starting posts I create for outsourcers when setting up new asset threads. I don't retain access to most of this after a title is wrapped, so these samples are mostly limited to a recent selection of predominantly 2D character concepts. But for 3D asset production I provide similar types of reference and asset details usually paired with starting scenes that include proper scale and orientation details and blockouts. In all cases I was responsible for gathering and organizing the reference images, providing relevant details about the work or production requirements, organizing and uploading them for external artists to access, and then following up with feedback and paintovers as the work progressed.

These were done in Basecamp, but I've also worked in ShotGun/ShotGrid, custom Google Workspaces, and other setups unique to different clients.

Asset texture/material planning reference for the Food Truck Art Test (https://nickbrown.artstation.com/projects/zxA66m?album_id=12677785). This one was unique in that I was gathering reference to show the client how I was planning to construct the asset.
